Charity Mints

BlockOwls have completed two charity mints to date, with intention to do more in the future. Our charity mints are one of the most fulfilling aspects of this project and we are honoured to know of the difference the BlockOwls community has been able to make so far to these organisations.

Our first charity mint, “Hooty Easter”, was held over easter in 2022. We successfully raised $23,000 total, which was donated to humanitarian aid in Ukraine through Direct Relief.

The second charity mint “Summer Owliday”, was held in July of 2022. We decided to let the community vote on which charities BlockOwls would donate to, resulting in votes landing on WWF and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Overall, the community raised a total of $8,600, which was then split in two ($4,300) to be donated to each of the charity organisations.

We are so grateful to have such an amazing BlockOwls community! Combined they have raised a grand total of $31,600 (after tax) that has been donated to charities. Thank you all so very much! :D
